Sourcing the right baler for your agricultural operation can prove tricky. Every site is different, and the baling requirements may change substantially from one farm to the next. Nevertheless, at GORDONS we’re confident that we can find the right baler from our extensive CLAAS range.
Each CLAAS baler produces compact bales, with baling pressures of up to 200 bar.
The largest model is the QUADRANT 5300. With an impressive baling measurement of 1.2 x 0.9m, the machine operates at 46 ram strokes per minute. The controls are hydraulic, enabling optimal bale weight and the cut is very fine – there are 51 knives for top chop quality. The exact bale weights are displayed on the terminal during run-time. These weights can then be called up using TELEMATICS at the operators will.
CLAAS manufacture smaller QUADRANT balers too – such as the 5200, 4200 and the 4000. The 4000 square baler is used to make bales of 0.80 x 0.50 m. Because the machine ensures maximum bale density, wilted silage, straw and hay can be shaped precisely. The QUADRANT 4000 is particularly appropriate for land with horses, due to its well-engineered packer tine technology.
If you prefer round balers, the CLAAS ROLLANT could be the perfect machine for you. These balers come with the option of an integrated bale wrapper. The ROLLANT 540 fixed chamber round baler ensures high forage yields through its 1.22 x 1.25 m bale size. The 15 reinforced bale chamber rollers make this model especially robust, making it the baler of choice for many farmers working on tough terrain or large fields.
And for 2019 CLAAS has embarked on a new chapter in the 43-year ROLLANT success story with a new generation. The ROLLANT 520 fixed-chamber baler brings together all the advantages of the popular ROLLANT 340 and 350 predecessor models. The new baler is very straightforward to operate, versatile and extremely robust.
Variable chamber round balers are also now available at GORDONS. These CLAAS VARIANT 485–460 series have a tailgate that opens and closes automatically and knives that automatically deactivate at the end of each bale.
